Abstract: It can be seen that almost 70% of the population depends on agriculture and 80% of the farmers are small-scale or marginal farmers. One of the reasons that disease detection in plants is crucial is because there is almost a 50% of crop loss due to diseases in the plants and lack of proper monitoring. In order to detect a plant disease at very initial stage, use of automatic disease detection technique is advantageous. A modern technique is introduced to find out diseases related to leaves. To overcome disadvantages of traditional eye observation, we use image processing techniques for fast and accurate disease detection of plant. Other subsystems include periodic monitoring of the temperature, humidity and soil moisture content. Based on the input of the soil moisture sensor, watering the plants is carried out or stopped. The actions taken are recorded and messages are sent to the farmer using Wi-Fi Module.

Abstract:Garbage bins or Dust bins are placed at public places in every city, and are prone to frequent overflowing due to the increase in accumulation of the waste leading to various problems. In order to avoid such consequences Intelligent Garbage Waste MonitoringSystem is being implemented. Multiple dustbins are located throughout the city and two sensors are placed in these dustbins whichtrack the level of the waste deposits and the weight of the waste accumulated dustbin. Every dustbin has a unique location ID toidentify which garbage bin is full. When the garbage level reaches the threshold, the device will transmit the current status of thegarbage level along with the location ID through GSM technology to the administrator for clearing of the dustbin and when thegarbage weight comes below the threshold level the sensor in the Dustbin automatically sends the completion status message to theadministrator.

Abstract:Gas Sensor (MQ2) module is useful for gas leakage detection (home and industry). It is suitable for detecting stinky. Due to its highsensitivity and fast response time, measurement can be taken as soon as possible. The sensitivity of the sensor can be adjusted bypotentiometer. In our invention, the stinky gas is detected using this gas sensor, for measuring water quality. The sensor values areupdated to IOT and LCD using Arduino controller. If temperature sensor value exceeds a particular value, buzzer is automaticallyturned ON for denoting high temperature. The notification module in this invention is the Wi-Fi module. If the water which is releasedfrom the industry, that is being tested, crosses the limitations of value of temperature pH, gas and turbidity, then a notification is givento the authoritative for which they can facilitate corrective measures. This invention helps serves as a checking system for pollutionprevention.

Abstract:Agriculture is the backbone of the economy for most of the countries and consumes much of fresh water available for effective output.Increase in population of human and water scarcity, has forced to have a check on water consumption for Agriculture. Usage ofsensors with actuators has led Internet of Things (IOT) for management of crops with respect to soil content, moisture and decides onthe water requirement based on the humidity to facilitate Irrigation eliminating the adverse effects of over-irrigation, and also avoidafter effects of under-irrigation. A system to irrigate the plants by generating Alerts to take decisions by the concept of IOT. Thesystem houses an Arduino board, sensors, DC water motor and LCD, along with a Wi-Fi module for connecting to the cloud. Based ondata received and processed, a decision is taken to either switch on or switch off the motor for intelligent water supply.

Abstract:Smart Grid is an intelligent electric grid, integration of electric transmission line, power transformers, power substations, electric meter and Internet of Things (IoT). Electricity is transmitted after production to public utility places. Smart grid provides flexibility to control, automate and provide optimistic power distribution. This technology aims at power reliability, efficiency, availability and security. Power plant produces electricity and it sends it to the power transformers. From power transformer the electricity is given to smart meters. This transformer end smart meter helps to observe the mechanical defect, electrical defect, lightning problems, overload and under load with the help of Internet of Things (IoT) based platform. Further, electric power is distributed to various consumers through power lines. In consumer unit, electricity will be received by another smart meter to controls the overall power consumption, and the consumer gets overall details of power consumption related data issues through Internet of Things (IoT).

Water Pollution is caused due to contaminants, either knowingly or unknowingly into the natural water bodies and impacts our ecosystem and needs to be addressed. This invention develops a method of real time water quality monitoring and distribution management system with low-cost design. The Internet of Things (IoT) based technology provides solutions in finding the quality water, and the distribution management. Thresholds of various parameters were considered in terms of hydrogen ions (pH), turbidity, temperature, water flow, dissolved oxygen and water conductivity and gaseous substances in water are checked collectively and any unacceptable levels are notified. All the values are observed with various sensors and processed through IoT platform controller. A smart meter for water consumption and billing, water leakage, efficient water distribution and proper motor control are managed with sensors. Monitoring and remotely accessing the water quality parameter supported by Wi-Fi enabled systems along with secure mobile application development.

Information board is an important information displaying device in everyday life. Earlier, notification systems consisted of sticking the papers on notice board which is time consuming and is not suitable for faster information exchange. In this proposed invention, Internet of Things (IoT) technology is used to make the process to be efficient. Data in any form could be displayed on the information board. PC or Mobile is used for transmitting the information. On the receiver side of the LCD, Raspberry pi is connected. This smart info-board will also display the information on the screen by just querying its file name over the mike (microphone). The voice is translated to text, and a queried file is extracted and exposed on the computer. The voice is recognized for retrieving the message, and authorized person’s voice is taken for granted. Retrieving files by just pronouncing its file name is implemented with higher efficiency

To address the concerns of farming community and to get better crop yield, Agri-Bot with sensors and camera interfaced with IoT for smart agricultural process has been designed. Based on the nature of soil and nutrients available in the soil, choices of crops that can be cultivated are put forth by system powered by IoT and seeds are sown by the bot loaded with seeds with the help of driller. Threshold values for each crop is maintained using autonomous system with the help of sensors. In case of deficiency in moisture and nutrients, it is recovered through autonomous water supply system connected with water pipeline, and the IoT module alerts the farmers to add required manures consistently. Similarly, the camera fixed monitors the plant growth and identifies the leaf diseases through machine learning which ensures proper plant growth, thereby increasing productivity and easier identification of leaf diseases at early stage is accomplished.
